PhD in Agricultural Engineering and Emeritus Professor of Agronomy at the University of Córdoba. He has developed an outstanding academic and scientific career, publishing numerous books and articles on topics related to agronomy, soil health, sustainability and productivity of agrosystems.

Salvador Samitier

Head of the Cross-Cutting Policies and Foreign Action Service of the Department of Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries and Food. Director of the Catalan Climate Change Office from 2009 to 2023. He holds a degree in Chemistry (specializing in Biochemistry) from the University of Barcelona. He also holds a Master's degree in Senior Management from the School of Public Administration of Catalonia and a diploma in European Affairs from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Catalan ProEuropa Trust.

Her work focuses on the implementation of sustainable soil management strategies in agroecosystems in the Mediterranean basin, within the framework of collaborations with European institutions and projects.

1st Regenerative Viticulture Conference

Coinciding with the World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought, held annually on 17 June, Vilafranca del Penedès welcomed the 1st Regenerative Viticulture Conference. It aligned perfectly with the World Day’s 2021 theme, focused on transforming degraded land into healthy land.
